Had a great weekend with everyone. Stepped up to Intermediate class finally and my Caster Racing rides were solid all weekend and I was competitive which was all I wanted.

1st thing is to thank my wife Maribel Figueroa! She usually dont come to the races but this time she pit for me and we had a head set. Hearing her and talking to her the whole 30 min main had me calmer then I've ever been on the driver stand. Not a single shake . She really is my soul mate and best friend.

The Caster Nitro NTO821.2 didnt miss a beat the whole 30 min A- main and 3rd overall! Also Congrats to Rich Nichols for also getting the NTO821.2 4th on the podium showing these cars can handle the abuse and finish these races when some cant. DIALED-RC V4 USS tires gave me grip the whole main. Sidewinder RC Racing Fuel, Morgan Fuels stayed consistent and didnt touch my needles for 3 days since the first startup Friday. Vision Racing Products pistons/oils and Team Exalt batteries kept every going smooth. CenFlo R/C decals had the ride looked sharp!

E-buggy was also very good. Finished 6th and 9th but didnt run my last mains (wanted to watch the superbowl ). Was a stacked main. Hard to catch and pass anyone. After the first few laps it seemed you stayed where you were so a good start was key to stay towards the front. Also ran DIALED-RC V4's and same VRP, Team exalt products.

The Buggyland layout was great and the track didnt get rutted or blown out all weekend. Shaun Morrow ran a flawless program! The Caster Team did great, Steve Szykulski, Grc Bob Trimm, Jake Salvati, Rich Nichols worked hard all weekend. Can't wait for where the race takes place next year!

Buggyland Buggy Mania '26

We made the trip to All out Rc for a weekend of racing with some of Florida's fastest drivers. I raced Intermediate nitro buggy with my NTO821.2. There were 9 of us, and it was close competition, driving etiquette was .

Main day started early with team guys driving throughout the morning.

Race 17 was our 30 minute Amain. With teammates Chris and Steve in the field, we were ready for battle. My buggy felt great on VRP pistons, handling the large jumps and dusty corners. My dialed rc V7's in ultra super soft, held up great! Yes, USS in a 30 minute main, and well you can see the pics yourself. Plenty of tread left and car was planted!

As we neared halfway or so. My buggy caught a lip on the back big double. Sending me straight into a dirt compactor, that had been sitting next to the track all weekend. I limped back to the pits, Grc Bob and the team were ready for me. Diagnosis found that it didn't actually break, but pulled the kingpin bushing through the spindle.

In minutes it was repaired and I was able to finish the race! Even though I had locked in 5th place because others broke out. There was plenty of time for laps, and a dnf never sits well with me. So huge thank you to the team for keeping me going! #grcarmy

Can you tell I miss my 8th scale yet ?

Had to be dripped out with the fresh Caster Racing RC team shirt and SnapBack even tho we raced 10th scale this weekend the whole point of this car is to get me more track time during club days I found that racing one class the track would change a lot and I wouldn’t be able to tell while the other racers had that advantage I also wanted something that drove close to the 8th scale buggy and I think I found what I was looking for. First shakedown was a success thanks to all the info I’ve gotten from my GRC family I know what to change to make it even better next go around. Now off to order a new 1900kv and get the ETO back because this only made me want to drive it even more

Miguelo Izquierdo Rodriguez did and awesome job on the layout as usual. Track was challenging and flowed well. The surface never blew out or got rutted. Thank you to you and your wife for all the hard work. We had a blast

We only ran open Nitro Truggy this weekend and without a pro class boy was it a competitive.

Going into practice on Friday I started off with the dialed V7s in soft long wear and very quickly switched over to the V5 in SLW. This was the tire for the rest of the weekend. I also had my trusty VRP 20 hole pistons in. That combination kept me hooked to the track all weekend. I ran my prototype Caster Truggy and I realized very quickly that I had a gearing issue. The FDR was way to high and I needed to find a bigger spur gear or smaller clutch bell. The team went to work with all kinds of ideas and ultimately nothing was viable due to needing a complete rebuild of the center dif assembly. So I made some adjustments to the clutch and went to an 8 mm Venturi. These two things did help down low a bit but it wasn't enough. I did my best to make it work

Qualifying on Saturday

Q1 finished p13 of 17

Q2 DNF stripped clutch bell

Q3 frantically we went to the backup car and finished p14 with a DNF from flame out.

This would put me p5 in the B. This is where I should have made an engine change. I should have put the CR21 from the prototype into the backup car overnight. I had plenty of time to do it.

Got up early on Sunday to make sure I had plenty of time to tune the old Reds engine.

B main I started P5 and the truck ran flawless for me. Engine had plenty of power and was smooth all the way through. Jay Seay and I took off quickly from the pack and had some awesome battles throughout the 20 min main. In the end we both seemed to be running about 80% until we got close to each other then it was an all out respectful battle. Jay that race was the highlight of my weekend thanks brotha! I did get the W and we both bumped to the A.

Started p11 in the A and flamed 4 times in 2 laps. Still not sure what the issue was but that engine did not want to stay running... Like I said earlier I should have swapped engines.

Wrapping up.. I can't Express in words how grateful I am for the group of guys and the teams that I get to run with at these races. Especially you Mr Nichols I'm blessed to be a part of this group and thankful to all of you for your help and support.

It's crazy how long I've been doing the Nitro thing and yet here I am still learning new things every race. Some things are more obvious than others..

"If you fail to prepare you're preparing to fail" Trust your gut feeling. If something on the car needs maintenance don't hesitate. It could be the difference between ending the weekend in frustration with a DNF or a really amazing memory of a top five finish.

I went to ss for some good old club racing and I had a fun time as always, to start of I would like to thank Ronnie Setser and Kim Locke Setser for allowing me to be apart of the SS team, they have done so much with helping me get to where I am today and I can’t thank them enough, I also have officially joined the Caster Racing RC team as well which is awsome so thank you to them, now let’s got on the the race report

Starting on 2wd there’s not really much to say, I was smooth for the whole day from start to finish taking the TQ spot and then taking home the gold

For 4wd it was the same thing as for the 2wd, I was very consistent through out the entire day taking the TQ spot and taking home the gold

In 4wd SCT I was smooth for the entire day making clean laps and that caused me to get the TQ spot for the 3rd time, but in the main I somehow fell into 12th, but I know what I had to do and I just picked everyone off one by one and making it all the way back to 1st place on the 3rd to last lap, i hade a ton of fun this weekend overall,

Once again I can’t thank the SS crew for allowing that they do and I want to thank my father Ryan Lws for allowing the help and support he has given me through out my entire life, but as always I am very greatfull for all my sponsors and teams that help support me for all my entire rc racing career

I gotta give a huge shout out to the Elite RC Production and LancLance MacDonald Mark Moon for putting a great program and running everything smooth through out the weekend!

Both of my Tekno RC rigs were phenomenal the whole weekend equipped with some Jconcepts green reflex rubber, I couldn’t ask for anything more, they were killer! During qualifying I had a little bit of a ruff start in Int. E buggy qualifying overall 3rd in the B main. But in Int. Nitro buggy qualified 8th in the A main. Both of my cars were really good made some changes to compensate for the grip changes and track surface changes and made the cars feel even better! For the Int. B main I was able to move to the front and lead for a good bit until I went to wide on the straight away and hit the pit lane, ended up braking. For my Int. Nitro Buggy Amain, it started out well.i made my around 6 and 7, I was able to find my lines and pace, made my way through the pack and ended up taking the 4th spot!

Overall I couldn’t be more blessed to have this opportunity! Huge thanks toPaul Wynnn for letting me tag along for the weekend and the support through out everything! Also a huge thank you toJulien Oliverass,Maria Oliverass, andJose Oliverass, and my parents for the support and help with everything couldn’t be more grateful! It was a fun one, especially in 2wd

Starting off in 2wd I was battling for the p1 position in both of the qualifying. I did end up getting that p1 position in the mains. In the mains I started and finished in p1 with just .007 seconds

In 4wd, it was just a mess around class for me today, I held the p1 position untill the mains, I started in p1 for the mains but just lost it half way through and ended up in p2,

In SCT, I was just solid the entire day with TQ and p1 all day from qualifying up until the start and end of the mains and I ended in p1 for the day

For my e buggy, I was getting the car prepped for next weeks Nitro Vs. Electric Shootout race over at SS as well, I started in p1 from the start and in the first corner dropped down to p3 but I worked my way back up to p1 in the end

I was a crazy one with the small track change and the crazy weather. Starting of with 2wd, I was pretty consistent through out the day and held the TQ spot and took home the gold in the a main, and in 4wd it wasn’t the best day for me, I did do pritty good starting and ending in p4 I was happy with that knowing how crazy and fun this race day was. In the SCT class it was just all fun for me, I just held TQ the whole day and started in p1 in the main and finished p1 in the main and it was a fun day in general. I did not run the 1/8 scale today so that I can prep the 1/10 scale buggy’s to be ready for the 2025 FRCC 1/10 Round 5 - Tampa. This race is going to be a lot of fun. Was an interesting and fun day, started off fighting to figure out traction with the partial track change and fresh clay, wound up having a bearing seize in my differential on my 2 wheel drive first qualifier thankfully the day went uphill from there. My 2 wheel felt good in both qualifiers even though my times didn't show it and I put together a 2nd for the main, 1st in stadium truck, 3rd in 4 wheel and I fired off a top qualifier and 1st in 8th scale e-buggy. I attended the ROAR Racing Region 11 1/8th Scale Championships in Spokane Wa. This was probably the hardest surface that I’ve ever raced on to dial in. Just when you thought you had it figured out. Nope. Lol.

I would run Open Nitro Buggy, Open Nitro Truggy and Spec Tire Nitro Buggy by ProMotion. My Mugen Seiki Racing MBX-8R and MBX8-TR with my IELASI TUNED Engines ran Flawlessly with TNR FUELS, hooked up on Pro-Motion Rubber and rolled smooth as butter with J&T Bearing Company Bearings. CenFlo R/C Stickers and GOmachine RC Products Accessories had me looking fresh as always.

I would finish P5 in Open Nitro Buggy, P2 in Open Nitro Truggy and P2 in Spec Tire Nitro Buggy. I had an absolute blast this weekend and I’m wore out. Huge congratulations to my Team Mate AJ Rodriquez on his double TQ and Win. Man that kid is fast.

First of all we had a great turnout over 60 entries I believe. My day honestly started out like crap had a rough morning and was having issues with my cars not feeling right & had issues with my gas truck engine and just basically put everything to the side just changed my tires Sauced up with CenFlo R/C and was just waiting to race. From there it just went up I wound up being top qualifier in all four of my classes 2wh buggy, 2wh stadium truck, 4wh buggy and 1/8 buggy. To top it all off I wound up coming in 1st in all four classes as well. Had some epic battles in a couple of the classes for a couple of laps. Thanks Richard Nichols for call the track work I assisted as much as I could, thank you Kim Locke Setser & Ronnie Setser .. see everybody in 2 weeks.

The day started with excellent weather conditions. I managed to squeeze in approximately five minutes of practice with my E buggy. The chosen tires, DIALED-RC V-11 SS and CenFlo R/C tire sauce, demonstrated exceptional performance. Throughout the day, these tires provided my e-buggy with substantial grip and speed. Beginning the Amain in P-9, I finished in P-5, achieving a satisfactory result. The short course truck was an exhilarating experience, especially during the second qualifier when it started raining. Despite the rain, most drivers continued, and my truck performed remarkably well, securing TQ and a P-1 finish. The track was one of the most impressive I have ever competed on. I would like to extend gratitude to 727Rc for the exceptional racing experience and to Trackside Motion RC & Bob Trimm for providing photographs . It was an awesome weekend hanging out with everyone and racing! Both of my Tekno RC buggies equipped with JConcepts Inc rubber were amazing throughout the whole day couldn’t ask for anything better! That allowed me to grab the tq and win in Ebuggy and 2nd in nitro buggy! Gotta give a shoutout to 727 RC and Thomas Allopenna for holding and amazing event they did an incredible job with the track! It was definitely an interesting one, starting off with 1/8 scale, it ran smooth the entire day with a few hickups along the way but we got rained out so I did not run the a main, in SCT we had a few errors on our transponders as they did not work, but we did run it with Bob Trimm,s transponder, so huge thank you to him and we where in second place in the a main with SCT untill my batteries ran out and cause me to pull it off, but all in all I hade a great time and again a huge think you to my sponsors.

It had been about two months since I last raced, due to some health challenges I’m currently overcoming by the grace of God.

For this event, I decided to switch things up and run my original Tekno RC ET410 for the first time in about three years, alongside my SCT410.3 to keep it all 10 scale. My qualifiers were rough no surprise given the lack of recent practice/racing but I started to feel more comfortable during the mains and was fortunate to finish P2 in both classes.

As always, both of my Tekno vehicles performed flawlessly. I used CenFlo R/C Gains RC Black Label "Sticky" tire sauce, which once again delivered outstanding traction throughout the night. Since none of my sponsors currently carry 10 scale tires, I opted for Pro Line Hole Shots in super soft compound for the ET410 and VP-Pro USA Striker Evo in super soft compound for the SCT.

I have not been to the PNB since 2020 because the 12 hour drive is a killer on my lower back. But I wanted to go this year and help my team get my new tires into the A-mains and we did just that. Almost 1,000 entries made for long days.

The track was very tough, and I made mistakes on the 2 hardest parts multiple times that cost me a chance at podiums. The most difficult part was the blind double double after the long straight. The only place on the stand that I could somewhat see my buggy was all the way on the end but I still lost sight coming up the face of the first jump which is where I crashed in every qualifier and main event. Imo there should never be a jump coming towards you because you are lining up and jumping blind which never happens in full size racing.

The second hardest part was the wall with a sandpaper surface. It wasn’t too hard but with people crashing there often, it was mayhem just getting through it cleanly. But I enjoy technical tracks so I liked it minus the blind spot.

I tried V1, V3, and V4 in SS and SSLW. They were all good but I felt most consistent on V1. SSLW and SLW. V4, V3, and V5 were all faster but too hard for me to hand on to.

I qualified 5th and 6th in 40+ Nitro Buggy but didn’t get a clean run in Intermediate and ended up in the C-main with only 2 rounds of qualifying.

I lead the C-main at the start but crashed and dropped way back to around 11th. I caught back up to 3rd but got tangled up with back markers and didn’t bump up.

In 40+ I decided to use my joker lanes later so I dropped way back at the start as most used all 3 jokers right away. After my last pit stop I used my final joker lane and moved up to 4th place. Desperate to get a podium I over drove and flipped off the track around the sweeper and ended up finishing 7th against some very fast guys including National Champions. But I was on pace and in the mix for a podium the whole 30 minutes which was the goal.

Congratulations to all my teammates who made the A-mains including Donald Elliot and Aidan Ridgeway who made 3 A-mains with Dialed-RC tires.

In E-buggy first qualifier finished in 4th place. In the second qualifier finished in 3rd place. On the A-main Finish in 2nd place.

In buggy had a great day. The car handle really good even though I could have done better. On tire selection to make my car handle a little better.

On truggy, I felt like I struggled through the day. My truggy was not handling as well and as good as other days. Even though it was a very windy day we had a good time. Will definitely try to improve as time goes by Looking forward to the next race

This past weekend I attended the Florida RC Championships Round 3 at Capital City Raceway !!

It was an awesome one as it was our first time going to this track!! Gotta give a shoutout to the Elite RC Productions crew and the Capital City crew for making a good event and Maintaining the track through out the weekend!!

On practice day we got there and got everything set up and ready both of my Tekno RC buggies felt really good and didn’t have to make a lot of changes through out the day. Both of them were equipped with some Jconcepts A2 Dirt bites and those felt amazing through out the whole weekend.

Main day arrived and racing was underway. Qualifying went really good, In Pro Ebuggy i showed really good speed and also consistency but made some bobbles that cost me a little and would be starting 3rd in the Pro Ebuggy A main. In Pro Nitro buggy it went great I had great pace and felt really good through out the whole two rounds of qualifying putting me in the 2nd spot on the grid. Both of my cars and both of rounds of qualifying I was using JC A2 Dirt bites which were awesome and allowed me to push the cars.

For the mains, it was an awesome one!! Pro E buggy A1 was crazy battling with Julien and Nolan through out the main and going back and forth but a little mistake cost me to fall back to 3rd for A1. For the 2nd Amain (A2) Went good had good pace but had a little more mistakes than A1 and wasn’t able to seal the deal taking 3rd overall For Pro E buggy. Moving forward for Pro Nitro Buggy, the 25 minute main was insane battling with Nolan and going back and forth and push in the limits, it was very exciting and fun race but was able to finish 3rd in the Pro Nitro Amain!!!

Overall it was a great weekend seeing and hanging with people in the pits and racing on the track!! Lord willing we’ll countinue to give it our all and improve on those mistakes for the next one!! Thank you to everyone that help me this weekend definitely improved my program!!
